Galatians 6:9

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Doing something good may not always bring about immediate results. In other words, we cannot always see the benefits of our labor immediately. The Greek word, poieō, means to make or produce. As many of us know, producing something requires labor. Any time we labor, we can expect to put in our time and energy. When we exert energy, we sometimes experience fatigue. The writer of Galatians expects that we will experience feelings of weariness. These feelings can have a negative impact on our spiritual progression. The Greek word, ekkakeō, means to become utterly spiritless or exhausted. However, never grow tired of doing good.

The people of God must not give up on doing good as if it does not matter. Patience is required here because there exists in the natural cycle of God's creation, seasons. Sometimes what prevents us from reaping is that we lose heart before our season comes. Do not faint! It's okay to be fatigued but do not give up and don't faint. Your due season awaits!
